So last night we were at basketball intramural at SVU Matt was playing with the faculty and he was doing awesome. I was talking and watching and watching kids I turned my head for a bit and the next thing I know Matt was on the floor. He doesn't like making a scene so when he was there for a while I knew something was wrong. Yep sure enough he said he had torn his ACl. What perfect timing!! He leaves to go sell in 2 1/2 weeks for the summer. He is planning on having surgery when we get back. Not a good night at our house but we will make it through.

Happy Birthday to Me! So I had my 28th birthday on Friday! Trae loves singing Happy Birthday to everyone birthday or not but since it really was mine he would break out in song all day! So cute! I love German Chocolate Cake from scratch and Matt after me giving him a hard time that I didn't get a birthday cake made me my cake and I pitched in making the frosting and it was tasty! Trae was bummed that we had no candles but it was good!

My Kira has figured out that she can pull down all the DVDs and she is quite impressed with herself. I am so not ready for a mobile baby! She cruses now!

Trae's favorite thing to do is his letter on the computer.He would type all day if I let him.

Trae is ready to go to Mickey's house!! Disney pj's for the spirit of Disney to have good dreams before we go!

We are of to Disney World tomorrow or as Trae says "mickey's house" We get to stay for a week! It will be a wonderful family vacation before our crazy summer starts. Trae has been so excited, we have been counting down the days and today was the hardest he has just wanted to be gone all ready! And I'm just trying to get everything ready! It takes so much to get ready for a trip. I am sure we will have a bunch of pics to post when we get back and many fun and funny stories! So wish us luck and we will let you all know how our trip goes when we get back!!

This is how Kira is getting around these days!

We have been having gorgous days here and Trae thinks he needs to live outside. He asks me if he can go outside and I will tell him in a liitle bit. But that is not good enough he tells me he's going to go check if its chilly outside, then it never fail he comes back and says, "nope mom its not." So needless to say housework sometimes gets put off during the day.

Today Trae was being so cute with Kira so I had him play with her some more so I could get it on video. It wouldn't upload right so this will have to do.

Kira J went to her 6 month check up today and we can report that she is healthy!



She weighs 17.8 pounds (75%)
27 1/4 inches tall (90%)


She is doing everything that she is suppose to do except rolling. She refuses to do that. All she want to do is sit up and crawl. No I am not ready for 2 mobile children! But I guess I have no say in this!

We have ahad a couple of warm days so we took asvantage of Matt being home while it was daytime and Matt was home! Trae had a blast playing ball with his Dad. You would think the love of ball runs in his blood! He always has to be playing ball! (No matter what kind)

Last year I just happened upon this car at a yard sale it was like$5.00 I couldn't pass it up cause it looked brand new. So I brought it home and when the weather is warm Trae is riding along the road waving and talking to the cars as they pass. But don't forget the snacks in the car.

I just loved these pictures! Update on my Kira J. She has become moible she is crawling not fast but she can get to where she wants to go. Also she has become such a good eater. She will even eat cereal. Only with juice though. But what can you do. And she has her first tooth that broke through! It was a surprise cause she never acted like it bugged her. So thank heavens!! Yes my little girl is getting big!

VEGGIES!!!!

Kira finally ate some solid food! She will not eat any cereal of any sort! Oatmeal, Rice, nothing! So I tried applesauce since she like apple juice but not so sure! But today I tried Squash and she ate it! I was shocked. I was just standing in the kitchen and thought I would try again I was just holding her and she kept eating! I start these eating habits with my kids not in their highchair and then they ever sit in one! What am I thinking! But it makes it easier to eat anywhere!

The park was our saving grace on Monday. Our weather has been so crazy lately that we haven't been able to play outside. But now its back to being cold a rainy and staying in the house having cabin fever.
