Halloween

The kids were so excited for Halloween this year. I just wish I could have taken them to more things so they could of dressed up a few more times but it was so nice to not have a ton of candy left over. My mom took them to teh library to story time and they loved that. Then Halloween night Matt and I took tehm to a few houses and they were able to just eat all their candy that night. The perks of going to only 6 houses! But it was a fun night. I was just glad I was not in the hospital.

Dax Matthew Jolley

Well Dax is here and doing great! He was finally born on October 29, 2009 at 12:56 am he weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 inches long (I think). I don't know if he was really ready to come into this crazy family cause I was induced on the 28th at 4 am and nothing was happening all day and night until midnight when they broke my water. I was getting ready to get my epidural (Which I love) they got done washing my back and my contractions were one right after another and so they checked and here he was one push later he was here with epidural. My doctor saw him born while the resident doc delivered. No one had time to prepare anything but he was healthy and the nurses and doc did great.

Carving Pumpkins

The night before I went into the hospital I thought I better carve pumpkins with the kids before I have the baby and don't have the energy. So my mom was a trooper and helped me. The kids had so much fun and thought they turned out great even tho I didn't clean them out. I didn't want the mess. :)

I don't know what is with Kira's smile, but this is her outfit that she picked to wear to story time. She wouldn't go and get her other pink shoe she kept telling me that it was ok mom. But at least they were on the right feet. huh. She is so stubborn that you really can't change her mind unless it is her idea so I just went with it and she was happy so that is all that matters I guess.

Halloween Cookies

These are the kids' Halloween cookies that they decorated for the Clarks'.



I have been feeling like I am not going to be able to be crafty or be in the mood to bake right around Halloween so I thought I better get our cookies done before the baby comes. They had a great time and thought they turned out great. Which they did. And Sue C. was a great sport cause the cookie Trae gave her had a huge pile of frosting and candy corn. But she told him it looked great and it was very good.The kids have loved being close to the Clarks to bring them treats and go visit.

Curlers

On Sunday I decided Kira's hair had grown a bit so I would try the famous pink curlers. I knew she wouldn't sleep in them so we just put them in that morning. She thought even with them in she was Woo Woo.

Sweet Boy!

I have the sweetest boy! The other day Kira was so upset she wanted nothing to do with me or Matt all she wanted was her brother to snuggle her. So Trae got up in the chair and just sat ans rocked her for quite a while. I love these little moments of showing each other how much they love one another. They really don't like to do things without one another but yet there are times Missy can get on her brothers nerve. But its these little moments that I love to watch.

Kira is still taking dance from Grandma Sue and loves it. She doesn't do good if I am late but if she is here when the girls come she is all for it and can even do the bunny dance for you. But she is pretty cute if I say so myself. It's just so fun having a girl in dance.

Fire Safety

Soda Springs has the best Storytime. We have really enjoyed going there. This past week it was fire safety day. The kids loved it. They got to walk around the BIG TRUCK as Kira kept saying, spray the hose and even honk the horn. So fun to see these things up close.

Womens Conference

We had the oportunity to go to Womens Conference the other weekend and listen to my Grandma sing in the choir. We spotted her twice on the big tv up close. And the choir was amazing to listen to which made for a very enjoyable evening. Fun times.

Picking Pumpkins

The kids went out with Hannah to pick pumpkins since the garden frroze a couple weeks before. they got 26 pumpkins and loved seeing if they could pick them up and carry them. So fun to go and pick things in the garden.





Kira was really trying hard to move the wheelbarrow, but decided to just pose for me!

Halloween Masks

We had a little craft that the kids just loved. It's great when you can only spend a $1 and it will entertain the kids for hours.

Homecoming in Rexburg

My cousin and her date before the Homecoming date. I did her hair and was there when she was getting ready. Trae loved being there as well he wasn't quite sure why he couldn't go and watch cause he was showing everyone his dance moves and they are good. Its always fun to be around girls getting ready for the big dances.

Splash Park

Rexburg has a fun little Splash Park at one of their parks in town. The weather was so nice that we wanted to go more than one day but just never got around to it. But we did end up going one day and the kids loved it. Trae had been sick a couple of days of being sick and I think he was still a little under the weather so he just walked around watching everyone and kind of playing in the water.

They don't like water in their face so the slides weren't a huge hit cause you had to go through fountains but the fountains on the side were great. Next summer we will have to make more trips there.

Harvesting Corn

While at my Aunts the kids got to help go and pick things out of the garden. They loved it. One day we did corn. It froze so we just got the ones that we could. But they were troopers in trying to help out.

Playing Football

One of Trae and Ryans favorite thing to play was football. They would try to get Mark to let them put his real football stuff on but it was a no go. I loved watching them as did Kira she would sit on the stairs and just watch. Fun to have a boy that is only 2 months younger to play with.

I just took a couple pictures of the kids that I thought were just cute. We have been staying in Rexburg with my Aunt and her family and had a great time. I think my kids are a little lost now that there isn't kids around all the time.

EISF

So the fair in Blackfoot is my favorite thing in the world. I get really bummed if I miss it. And I almost didn't get to go this year but the last day I met up with Ali and Dusty to go eat some amazing food that I crave all year long. The kids got to ride the carousal and loved it. We also saw some animals most were gone but it was still fun I just didn't get many pics.

Zucchini

I received some zucchini from my grandma and had to get it shredded before they went bad. But I had this little helper who wanted to be right up there with me. She would hand me bags and then she decided that she needed to taste it she said it was pretty good.

Her new thing is that she shuts her eyes while she is cheesing. At least I got a smile.

Kira's First Dance Class

Since we are in Soda Springs for a bit Kira wanted to tap tap with Grandma Sue. She did pretty good. When she didn't want to do something she wouldn't. I had to hurry back from my doctors appointment so she could dance so we were like 7 minutes late so at first she just went in her shorts but she didn't like that so we had to hurry and change into her leo but she wasn't a big fan at first of her ballet shoes cause they don't make sound. But she did great and enjoyed herself. My videos aren't working so I will try again tomorrow.

She needed to rest for a bit by brother. He went and got his dance pants and shirt and just wanted to dance as well or something. He didn't think it was fair that Kira got to do something and he didn't. But he is going to take gymnastics in Oct. but he just doesn't want to wait.

My sweet Kira is such a fun little girl. She has so much personality that sometimes I don't know what to do with her but she always brings a smile to my face.

My Trae

I was just snapping pictures the other day of my kids and thought they were just cute. My Trae has grown up so much that he really is getting so big and grown up. He is so fun to have in our house and is the best big brother.

We have been at staying at my sisters house in Springville and happened to stop by the library and saw this great park. The kids loved it. Trae was super brave and was climbing every where. I love that he is getting stronger and is able to climb.

Blackberry Picking

There is a pick your own berry farm in Mapleton right close to where my sister lives. I thought the kids would think it was fun to do so we went last week. And the kids did great. Ali wasn't a big fan of picking so she had the kids keep dumping their buckets into hers and they filled hers half way full. Pretty impressive cause they were sharing with everyone. Trae got really good at finding the big black ones. Kira was better than I thought as well.

Grandma Karen's Family Reunion

We to my mom's side family reunion the last weekend in Aug. It was in Soda Springs at Bailey Creek. I think everyone had fun. Its always fun to see my cousins that I dont get to see very often.

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake the end of Aug for a few days and had a great time. I think the kids are big fans of camping but Matt and I are not so everytime we have been at Bear Lake we have been able to use a trailer so it has been great.
