Swimming

So while we have been here in Virginia we have taken advantage of the pool in the back yard. Trea has been in swim lessons and did very well with getting over the semi fear of water. So when we came here I really didn't know how he would do but we got him a life jacket and he is swimming by himself and is very proud of himself.

Island Park at the Cabin

What a great time we had in Island Park this past week. I was talking to my aunt the other day and was telling her I wanted to go to my Grandma's cabin well little did I know it ws my aunts week so they invited us to join them. It was so much fun.

Kira did not like playing int he river it was too dirty on her hands, feet and shoes. So she plopped her bum in the chair and stayed there the entire time.

Here are my cute kids waiting for the parade to start. I just liked this picture and thought it was great that Trae wanted to match Kira.

Sugar Cookies

So I have been craving sugar cookies so with the kids help I made them and they are delicious. The kids got to use the letter cookie cutters and spelled their name all by themselves with the frosting and all. Trae did a great job and Kira did good eating hers the entire time she was cutting and frosting her cookies.



This is Kira's knife she was frosting her cookies or eating frosting with the wrong end the whole time. I just had to laugh.

Fireworks at the Park

This is us happy and dry at the park listening to the band dancing and waiting for the fireworks to start. It didn't last long. I looked back and saw nasty black clouds and told Matt we need to head back I don't want to get stuck in the rain. There were people still walking in as we were leaving and the clouds were coming fast needless to say we made back to the car by the time it started pouring then we got back to Matt's mom's house and it started hailing. Yes we were glad we left. We ended up just driving up by our good friends house and just watched from the car. They were great and I am sure they lived up to Trae's expectations they even went BOOM really loud.

Soda Spring 4th of July Parade

Here is a pregnancy shot that I didn't know was taken but I thought I better post since a lot of people keep asking.


This was the kids first parade that they actually knew what to do and did a pretty good job and getting the candy. Kira got a Otter Pop and was so thrilled that she went to go sit by Matt and ate it while watching everyone else get more candy. But she did also get a Dora coloring book as did Trae and that was one of the best thing the whole day. All in all the kids had a great time.
